1. Purpose of This Policy
This policy exists to be fully transparent about what (if any) data we collect when you use Yael, how we use that data, and how we keep your information safe. We have intentionally designed Yael to minimize data collection as much as possible, so most of our users never have to share any personal information with us at all.
2. Information We Collect (And What We Don’t)
We prioritize your privacy above everything else, so our data collection is extremely limited:
- No account required for full access: You never need to provide your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifiable information to use every feature of Yael. No sign-up, no login, no personal data requested at any point of your workflow.
- Uploaded images and media: Any long screenshots, images, or visual assets you upload to Yael are processed temporarily in secure, volatile cache memory only for the duration of your editing session. We never store your uploaded files or processed card stacks on our permanent servers, and all associated data is permanently and irreversibly deleted immediately after you download your final output or close your browser tab.
- Anonymous usage analytics: We may collect fully anonymized, non-identifiable usage data to help us improve Yael, such as how often specific features are used, average uploaded file sizes, and general browser/device compatibility information. This data cannot be linked back to any individual user, and is never used for advertising purposes.
- Voluntary contact information: If you choose to reach out to our team via email with questions, feedback, or support requests, we will only collect the email address and any content you choose to share in your message to respond to your inquiry.
3. How We Use Your Information
We only use the extremely limited data we collect for the following purposes:
- Process your uploaded images to create the sliced, shadow-layered card stacks you request, while preserving full original quality of your assets
- Fix bugs, improve processing speed, and develop new features for Yael using anonymous usage data
- Respond to your support requests, feedback, or questions if you choose to contact us
- We will never sell, rent, lease, or share any of your information (including uploaded content, contact details, or usage data) with third parties for any reason, including for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
Yael is built to avoid unnecessary third-party integrations that could compromise your privacy:
- We do not embed any third-party tracking tools, ad pixels, or data harvesting scripts on our platform
- Our email support system is only used to respond to incoming messages you send to us, and we never share your contact information with any third-party marketing services
- All file processing happens on our own secure servers, with no third-party access to your uploaded content at any point in the workflow.
5. Your Privacy Rights
We respect your control over your personal information, no matter where you are located. You have the right to:
- Request confirmation of whether we hold any personal information associated with you
- Request immediate deletion of any personal information we hold related to you (including any support email records you have sent us in the past)
- Ask any questions you have about our data handling practices at any time
To exercise any of these rights, simply reach out to us at the contact email listed below, and we will fulfill your request within 7 business days.
6. Data Security
We take industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect any data associated with your use of Yael:
- All data transferred between your device and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS protocol to prevent interception
- All temporary processing cache is isolated and wiped immediately after each user session ends, with no recovery option for deleted files
- Our servers are protected by strict access controls and regular security audits to prevent unauthorized access to any user data.
7. Policy Updates
As we add new features to Yael, we may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our data handling practices. We will post a visible, prominent notice inside the Yael tool at least 10 days before any updated terms go into effect, and we will revise the effective date listed at the top of this page when changes are implemented.
